Recently, we have had some interesting discussions about tea bags compared to loose tea.
As most of you probably already know, tea bags are much less environmentally friendly compared to loose tea, which is why we personally do not prefer the production of tea bags. Also, teabags do not catch the flavour as well as loose tea, where you get richer tea flavors. Finally, the production of tea bags takes a lot of time, because all our teas are made by hand.
Since some customers just prefer to choose teabags, we want to keep offering them. However, we have decided to increase the price of products with tea bags by 2 euros, as the manual labour is too long. We understand this may be high for some. Just to help you understand, to create 1 box/refill bag of loose tea takes an average of 3-5 minutes, whereas to create 35/45 teabags takes easily upto 20-30 minutes.
To help you through this transition, we will add a free tea infuser with each loose tea order. We hope this will stimulate our customers to buy loose tea.
