Chai Spiced Overnight Oats

Mornings can be hectic, what with the waking up and eating and packing lunches and remembering your briefcase and watering your plants and texting your sister “happy birthday” and the -oh look! You’re late. These Chai Spiced Overnight oats are creamy deliciousness and they’re dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan. What’s more is you make them the night before, as the name suggests, so it’s one less thing you have to do in the morning.

PREP TIME: 5 MIN (10 if you’re having a relaxing Pinto and slow dancing to Sinatra in the kitchen at the same time, which we do think improves the taste)

TOTAL TIME: 3 HRS, 5 MIN (or overnight so you can set it,  forget it, and get some shut eye)

SERVING SIZE: 4 PEOPLE (thats breakfast from monday - thursday so you’ll still be late friday but ⅘ ain’t bad)



  • 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 spoon of Ami’s Basic Chai Mix

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or jaggery

  • 2 1/2 cups Almond milk

  • optional toppings: dried fruit, bananas, sliced almonds or whatever you like!


  1. Place the oats, chia seeds, blend, and brown sugar or jaggery in a medium bowl and stir to combine. Add the almond milk and stir until incorporated. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight.

  2. Enjoy for breakfast with the optional toppings or simply as-is!
